Love the Hayes trade, I think he would fit in great on a line with his cousin Matthew Tkachuk. Flames don't need Kovalchuk, that's another bad contract waiting to happen.

despite LA being a terrible team this year kovalchuk is still 4th in scoring on the team. personally i believe he massively improves our depth while also adding strenthg and veteran presence needed for a playoff run. playing on a line with hayes and neal would be a slow line but i think they could really control the pace of play with thier combined skill. he alos would improve the second powerplay unit.

all that being said i would also accept a trade that was: replace kovalchuk with toffoli and remove the 3rd round pick from the flames side
