That's a pretty crazy overpay. Point's great, but Zibanejad has an absolute steal of a contract, and is already one of the better centers in this league.

Point is 5 years younger and would be around longer, allowing the rangers to build around him and Kravtsov

ziba straight up would be fair for both sides but even then its risky to go for point as he could be a byproduct of kuch while ziba has been stellar by himself.

Tampa would need to add Sergachev and then some... NYR will be top 7 pick.

Not to mention they have to pay Point 9 mil + starting next season.... will he be as good in NY? Not likely...
