Do the Flames really need another high priced aging Dman in Hamhuis? Doubt if the Blues trade Allen. Elliot's a UFA in the summer 2017. Cash conscious Arizona doesn't want Raymond. Is Smid really on LTIR for the whole season? Nylander needs at least another year or more of junior/AHL

Not bad... Bringing in a Veteran "true" d-man to play with Hamilton... Adding the 2 right wingers... Don't think Nylander will make the NHL this year and if he does he should not be on the top line... But those are easy changes... As for your trades... Wont get 2 picks for Wid's after last season - probably only 1... As for the Raymond Deal... : ) only way to trade him is to give a better pick then we get - agreed so just buy him out... Smid we should buy out as well - just a waist of a contract and if he gets healthy a roster spot as well... Don't mind the Allen trade - Blues will only be able to protect 1 of their to two and Elliot will be there top choice to keep...

My only issue (other than your line up - and trades) is we have some top shelf d-men on there way up.... Would we not be better developing existing talent as opposed to bidding on a UFA....

disagree with signing hamhuis and not resigning wotherspoon. agree with drafting nylander but there's no way he's ready for the nhl next year which leaves a void on the 1st line RW. like the wideman deal. don't like jake allen, maybe sign riems? no way you get that return for raymond (who passed through waivers twice)

If Boedker can be signed for that, sign me up. Probably need $5 million per though.
If Allen can be traded for that, sign me up. Very unlikely though.
Mason McDonald will likely be the #1 for the Flames ECHL affiliate, with some call ups to the AHL for spot starts or injuries.

The WIdeman and Raymond trades, with no salary coming back, again sign me up, but also very unlikely.

I like the Hamhuis signing. Helps next year a ton, and if he were to get claimed in an expansion draft the Flames could handle his loss just fine and it would allow them to expand their protection list. If he didn't get claimed the three year term isn't likely to hurt us in my opinion.

ARI has zero interest in that deal. ZERO. Overpaid non NHL player. If they "add" cap salary it will be a guy like Datsyuk.
