Haha. I know it's a crazy longshot. But Wild have too much salary to rebuild, and not enough talent to really be a serious threat in the West. I think they need to go for a big, bold move (even if it weren't something like this). Otherwise, it's probably, at least, three more years of mediocrity.

The only unmovable pieces are Suter, Parise, and Koivu, but that's only $20,576,924 of the current $79,500,000 cap space and Koivu's $5,500,000 will be off the books the offseason after this offseason. Guys you draft sign for a maximum of $925,000 for 3 years. The Wild can absolutely rebuild if they want to (which Fenton has indicated he does indeed want to).
