I liked your first post a lot but you've lost me here. Lee won't accept a deal that low of dollars and term. I think the minimum we would be able to agree upon is $6M x 5 and even that's wishful thinking. Secondly, how are we paying Barzal $10M+, Pulock $4-5M and Toews $1-2M bridge come next season? Nobody is taking on Ladd/Boychuk IMO and that still wouldn't be enough cash if we somehow got rid of both

I'm not a NYI fan so not too knowledgeable about your team, I think to afford those players you need to get rid of Ladd, Cizikas, and Clutterbuck who are all on too rich deals, aswell as losing martin will give 2.5 mill. It's gonna be hard but if it can be done i think the team is looking good for a few years, considering you would gain best case 14.85m. maybe you don't go after stone then and instead go for someone else, like a jeff skinner if he makes it to free agency, who might command 7-8 maybe (really hard to judge with him). Also 6m is too rich for anders lee, i think the most he can get is 5.5.
