So, why are Habs fans trading Tomas Tatar this week?

Tatar has hit twenty even strength goals in two different seasons. Seems like he's worth keeping.

Would they have any use for a 24 year old "prospect" who got 17 even strength goals the year he was 21, but has had a different bone broken by a different slash each season since?

Cool. I mean, I figure a guy five years younger who is as good at scoring goals on Marcus Johansson's line as Tatar was with Zetterberg, but who hasn't had power play chances? I figure he's got a bright future at a low cap hit, like 4Mx7yrs, or something, and could play in MTL's top six, and top power play.

Does Lucas Johansen count as a 1st?

Neither am I smile But he's a left shot defenseman, first round pick, halfway through his ELC.

I think the Habs have a great LHD prospect in Josh Brook, but you can never have too many, and Johansen is closer to NHL ready.

That's why I tried to build it around Burakovsky (3.0) and Jaskin(1.1M). If Johansen is added to them, there's a B+ center prospect coming back.

That doesn't quite clear enough space, but Vrana is
still waiver exempt. That gets them pretty close, if necessary. I think they can get by with Tatar at 2L if they have to, if everyone stays healthy.

Whoever plays with Backstrom gets more points. Does the salary cap incentivize Oshie with Eller, or Oshie with Backstrom?

As good of a season as Dzingel is having, putting him on line two guarantees he won't be back.
