Initial Creation Date: Feb. 23, 2019

Description
Petrovic is a depth move.

Carolina says that they want a two-way center, I know Wennberg has sucked the past few years but he has term and has shown that he can be a 50-60 point player in the NHL; he gets a new change of scenery.

That's not a bad counter but I don't see the CBJ adding Russell because of his contract, but Chiasson would be a good add. Also, idk if Edmonton would want to add Wennberg's contract.

Russell's at 4M for the next 3 while Wennberg is at 4.9M for the next 5, I'd say it's pretty even considering the risk for both sides.

why not move Wennberg in the off season and keep him for the year you are all in?

I agree with that, that move could be made now or on draft day.
