    Unrealistic. Especially the Kreider trade.

I've seen Taylor Hall traded for Adam Larsson, Chris Pronger traded for less promising pieces than 20 year old Jesse Puljujarvi and Wayne Gretzky sold for a pretty underwhelming return.

This is not an unrealistic deal. Puljujarvi is still a very substantial prospect. It is an unlikely trade yes, but it is far from unrealistic.

I think you missed the part where OTT trades Lucic.

How is this horrible? Bouchard is by far a superior prospect than what OTT got for Duchene and would be on the roster next year. Stone is a big piece, but he's got a big salary, so he is harder to move. As well as a winger he doesn't have the same value as a Centerman or an offensive RHD, like Bouchard.

The Lucic deal helps Ott in that it helps them get to the cap floor & gets them more picks and a prospect & most importantly allows them to move his contract.

Lucic is still a pretty useful player, he just can't score like he used to.

This also sheds them of the headache Duclair appears to be to his last 4 NHL Head Coaches.

man you must have smoked sopme strong stuff if you think that that is a fair deal, it would cost EDM their 1st + just to move lucic contract, Bouchard, wells and 2x 2nd dont get you Stone.

i think the taylor hall trade is a horrible comparison for you to basically say i've seen stranger things....everyone including oiler's knows that was a horrible trade and no GM will ever be caught attempting something like that. Rangers only trade kreider for big prospect and 1st rounder. Use hayes trade and eventual stone trade as an example - especially if stone goes first because then kreider becomes most valuable person on market FOR A PLAYOFF TEAM WHICH OILERS ARE NOT
