So, a bust, another goalie that we dont need, a random prospect, a late first and maybe another first if we are lucky, for Stone. Yeah i dont think so

Petan is not a bust. He just needs a chance to play with linemates other not named Thorburn. Comrie has starter potential and he is playing lights out for the moose right now. Virtanen was the guy who shutdown Hughes at the WJC. You could replace one of them with Stanley (former 1st).

Other than that no team will pay a A+ prospect like Vesalainen, Niku or Roslovic for a rental like Stone. They are all future studs. Niku is playinglike a top 4 defencemen right now. Roslovic can be a top 6 winger now but the jets want to develop him as a center so he is on the 4th line. Vesalainen is our best forward prospect since Connor (Connect the dots).

Think about the Duchene deal. the best prospect coming back was Abramov who is not as good as either of Vesalainen, Niku or Roslovic. Same with the karlsson deal. Norris is not as good as Vesalainen, Niku or Roslovic. These types of players do not get traded for rentals. The ask may be one of these prospects now, but it will change. The reason stone has not been dealt is because the asking price is too high.
