The trend for RFA is to sign long term deals and do away with a "bridge deal" Why do Laine and Conner stray away from that trend?

RD are at a premium, Myers doesn't take a $1,000,000. pay cut.

It is going to take something creative to keep this group together going forward or you have to move on from someone. I would but my money on the latter.

Trouba is as good as gone, There's no way he's signing for only $200,000 more then what he's currently making now. None of these signings are remotely happening their AAV is way to low. Laine and Connor get at least $1 million more then what you're offering. No way Myers signs for a $1 million less then what he's currently making now. Trouba gets at least $7 to $7.5 million long term.

connor and laine are great players and i would love to give them 8 yr deals at 6-10 M but both of them have been as consistant as the weather. especially laine, u just cant give laine 8-10 m when hes been playing like this. i know he has 3 goals in his last 2 but its a huge risk to take. (watch laine end up with 15 goals in the month of march and wins the conn smythe)

$3 million is his actual salary? We're talking about his cap hit that's actually $5.5 million.

I get why you don't want to give the long contract when you aren't sure who is going to show up from night to night but I don't see the players taking the deal.

Does Winnipeg risk Liane pulling a Nylander and a potential offer sheet?

Dude i was referring to his cap hit, Not his actual salary there's a difference there. You do realize these are actual cap hits not salary?
