i dont think they will move seabrook unless they absolutely have to.. Q would go nuts losing him

From what I've heard - StanBo has at least reached out to Seabrook's camp to ask what he's really gunning for financially next year. If he's really not settling for less than 8x7 AAV, I just don't see us keeping him. We don't need 35M tied up in 6 players (in short, we don't want a Letang contract - which is the problem the Pens faced after giving Malkin/Crosby big deals).

His return will be exceptionally high right now, as there are a ton of teams needing RHD top-pairing defenseman, and Seabrook would be the best available to any of those teams. When you look at a team like the Red Wings, they're flooded in prospects but need one or two pieces to make a legit run before Datsyuk and Z have nothing left in the tank.
