Soon... soon my friend. His numbers haven't been great in the AHL and goalies are so strange that I would rather we don't shake his confidence by forcing him in without needing to. He can take all the time he needs, I would rather he absolutely outplays his welcome to an elite level the AHL before even giving him a sniff at the NHL

Hopefully they can land another top 6 winger at the draft. Unless of course Neal wants to be an effective NHLer...

I think that Neal is worth his weight in gold in the playoffs (cautiously optimistic) and I think that this little injury stint is not a bad thing for him to watch the game from a different perspective and rest up for a while. With how easy that injury happened I would venture a guess that it was a nagging problem that flared up.
I also think that he has been strapped to the third line which is no help for him. Playing with Jankowiski just looks hard, he's like a jet with no pilot. Get a guy who can drive a line better than Janko and Neal will produce more, he wasn't brought in to be a star on a line and he is a player who needs a supporting cast. Look at his centers that he has played with in his big seasons, a lot of Malikin, Marchessesault, Benn, Johansson. I like the signing, I still do but he needs to be playing with someone who drives a line. It will be similar to Frolik's tenure, solid 3 is years, his last year on the contract maybe an anchor.

I heard on the radio, can’t remember who it was and they were talking about Vegas (before getting Stone) and they said Vegas is missing something important and it’s in Calgary... he was talking about Neal. By all indications he’s an awesome teammate and it’s probably no fluke wherever he goes the teams play good. He just needs to play to his abilities and I’m fine with him
