Aberg is one of the most mixed bag players I think I've ever watched. There are times he makes amazing plays in the offensive zone and on the PP, but there are other times where he just stands around like a pylon. It's unfortunate because he has a lot of skill, such a waste of talent.

I really liked Fiala with Parise. I thought those two complement each other nicely since Fiala generates tons of grade A chances and Zach can bang away or deflect the puck for some greasy goals. Ideally we'd see Fiala capitalizing on those chances, but until then Zach can clean them up nicely.

Yeah to be honest I want nothing to do with Aberg from this season on. Also it's fine with whatever the return would be for him since Kloos was an undrafted signing.

Agreed on Fiala and Parise. What is bothering me right now is our load of LW's playing on the right - I just want Fiala/JG/Zucker to be comfortable with wherever their playing. I'm actually really impressed with the skill Fiala has shown so far. Yeah, preds fans gave him a tough time for not capitalizing on all of those chances, but man, if he learns to capitalize, he could be insanely good. The talent is obviously there.

Agreed. I really like Fiala and I do think he has the ability to put it all together, he's an incredibly exciting player. His shot is pretty unreal when he gets it of, too.

The LW thing has been an issue for us for so long. Just look at Nino, he was forced to play RW and we didn't have room for him on the roster. It's a tough situation and I think Zucker will likely be traded this offseason because of it.

Most likely. I wonder if he starts tearing it up now to get his value back up. Though I wouldn't be totally surprised if we held on to him for at least another year, even if that adds a 10 team no-trade list.

How awesome would Kapanen be on our team next year? That's who I really want right now as a replacement for him/Aberg

Zucker kind of has been tearing it up, he has 3g/5p in his past 5 games. Im sure Fenton is happy his trade value is starting to rise!

I'd love Kapanen. He's exactly what we need: speedy right shot winger that has a shoot-first mentality. I'd prefer Nylander from the Leafs since he can play center, but Kapanen would be a great get. I don't think the Leafs would trade him, though.

Their cap situation will be really, really interesting this summer...

Just saw it!

I agree, I think we're good trading partners for the Leafs if they do decide to move one of their talented forwards. I also think we're good trade partners for Tampa, too (who will also be looking to shed some cap).
