Would Arizona really want Seidenberg even for 3m a year?

Doubt it. Especially with Arizona's new GM. For the most part, it sounds like personnel decisions in Arizona will be based on analytics. Also, I think there a few good reasons to hold Seidenberg this year. I don't think it is time to give up on him just yet. Keep in mind he had back surgery just before training camp last year. With a fresh start this year, and all the criticism he has received, I would think he is motivated to show he can still play. The cap situation this year is much more flexible so I don't think it is urgent to move his contract just yet. Next year would seem to be the year to buy him out, or hopefully he performs decent this year and is tradeable next year. I think a Seidenberg and Miller 3rd pairing could be decent. Would much rather see them move McQuaid (if they can).
