I don't hate the idea of a Hamilton trade, I just think it would be weird to trade them another NHL ready dman (Larsson), and unfortunately the guy that would fill that hole would likely be Terry or Steel, which to me shouldn't even be a thought, given the teams issues scoring goals this year.

I'm too much of a nostalgic Ducks fan to consider buying out Perry. Thank god it's not me making the decision, because there's no way that I could do it. He's meant the world to this franchise. I wonder if Kesler would consider spending the last couple of years on LTIR/Robidas Island? By being bought out, he essentially loses $7-8 mil, which he may be able to come close to making back by signing somewhere else, but it's pretty clear that his body has taken a beating.

I think the Carolina trade makes a lot of sense for the Ducks, as Bob Murray has said he wants a PP QB. Im unsure, though, if Carolina would be willing to do that deal.

Carolina trade makes no sense, Ducks are not going to trade young guys away if we are "rebuilding" even though Murray said it's a re-tooling. Ducks are not giving up on Larsson their first round pick in 2015, Daniel Sprong a young goal scorer who has played really well since we acquired him, and the first round pick that they just acquired that they need to re-tool.

Why buyout Perry when you do not need the cap space right now, it's not like he's garbage like Eaves or Kesler. Perry is still a 35-50 point guy, he just hasn't played a lot this season because he missed 50+ games with knee surgery and coming back mid season is hard since everyone is up to full speed and he's just getting to skate for the first time. Only buyout I see logical is Kesler.

I can see Devin Shore being traded because there is not much room on the roster if we want all the young players to get a roster spot. Jones/Terry/Steel/Comtois. I think a 4th round pick is not enough to trade him, he's a great player. Maybe a 3rd or a 4th and a prospect.
