In Option 1, Gauthier is out, and Muzzin is with Rielly. See it for those details.

This idea is simple. Keep the forwards as is (for the most part), and keep Gauthier in. I would rather see him come out and Ennis plays, but this is the most "Babcock" way.

Defence needs to improve, and how better to do that than to make a power first line? gards and Rielly may not have the best history together, but if this is the Bruins we're facing.... we can't have Ron Hainsey against that top line.
Dermott and Zaitzev is my preference, but if Gards and Rielly are together than this is the next best. Hainsey plays essentially the same role but with Dermott in less minutes, better for everyone. Zaitzev and Muzzin haven't looked nearly as bad as GardZev, so that's ok I guess.

I prefer option #1.

not enough sample for Zaitsev-Dermott
but in the one game on Jan 23rd against the caps: Dermott-Zaitsev:

Gardiner-Zaitsev:
