I've got a feeling that Drouin is not going to be Bill Peters' type of player...so it might not be a good fit

But there's a good chance Brodie might be available this summer. Flames are loaded with young NHL-ready talent on defense, ready to support Giordano-Hamonic-Hanifin. Brodie might be the odd man out and he goes UFA in summer 2020

Also I think that's too high of a return for Drouin. He's starting to look like a flashy, inconsistent 50 point ceiling guy. Certainly useful but flawed

gee what team needs a flashy 50 point guy.. trade him for a bag of pucks..... potatoe!

A team that doesn't make the playoffs, working their bag off is the Peters team, anything less doesn't make it onto his line-up

Getting a 3c on a team that has been a joke down the middle for the last decade is an improvement already, getting a D man that fills in at a reasonable price until younger guys are ready helps any team, plus a second (which i think is an overpay) all for a guy who would be 6th in points on the Flames and probably playing 3rd line minutes.. This would be a gift to the Habs.

Don’t disagree but I don’t want to go back to not being able to score before we got Domi and Drouin. That was painful. I’d rather pick up those pieces through other means. Plus yeah that is way too much for him.

Completely valid point, Janko brings a decent two way game but not the offensive upside of Drouin's left toe. Brodie is no longer a unique defense man, they are all strong skating D
