    I don't think the Leafs should be bringing in Wideman unless were sending out cap too (Michalek, Lupul)

    Although true, to think that a team would want Michalek or Lupul is a stretch. Wideman on the other hand is an NHL quality player.

    True. Trade might be unrealistic but we give them two players that aren't part of the long-term plan, IMO. We get Wideman who can play 20+ minutes a night to give Zaitsev, Carrick time to work themselves into the NHL. He's a UFA after the year so he walks and we get a pretty good goaltending prospect out of it.
