Love your podcast, dude. A few things about this team though:

1. Do you think, if they draft him, Cozens will play in the NHL for the full season? I could absolutely see them keeping him on the roster for 9 games then sending him to the WHL for one year.
2. I think Dzingel gets paid more in FA. Somewhere closer to 4.5-5 mil/year.
3. Do you think they would put Benn and Gus together on a pairing? If they were to sign a 3rd pairing LD like Benn or Chiarot, I think they would pair Gus and Murphy, and Benn and Seabrook.

All great points. I changed the salary and added Kubalik. Anything can happen. Cozens could very well stick. Scouts say he's NHL ready. I do think that Gus needs a DEFENSIVE guy at his side. He's awful in his own end and needs someone that can offset that

This team definitely has an actual chance of at least competing for a playoff spot. I think I'd rather see them trade for a defensive defenseman like De Haan or Ryan Murray than grab an offensive guy like Benn in FA, but considering we don't have too much in the way of trade assets, this is seems like a fine alternative.

I didn't get to say thanks for listening. I changed my thinking around a little, but same basic premise. Room to sign Strome and ADB for extensions. Some room for a trade in season too.

I think you underpay Ferland and Dzingle a fair amount. They wouldn’t agree to that term either.
