Winnipeg doesn't need more wingers, So Kreider and Vessy are no goes. Winnipeg would be seeking both C and D prospects that's pretty much it. You trade for Trouba then play him in the position that he hates the most. Yeah that's not good and fat chance of Trouba only signing for $7 million per. He'll get far more then that.

Trouba just played more than 66 games for the 2nd time in his Career, while surpassing 35 points for only the 1st time. He is a great shutdown Defenseman. But for someone who misses that much time on a regular basis, and therefore doesn't put up otherworldly point totals, the $7-$7.5M range is just fine .
