Burrows has been on the decline. However, If I am Toronto, there isn't a whole lot to lose. He is in the last year of his contract and maybe a change helps revitalize him. Toronto has 8 picks in the first 4 rounds. Depending on other offseason moves, if Toronto has CAP room, I could see them making that deal. By the time Toronto's 4th round pick comes up, they will have already selected 6 players. Hell if I'm Toronto, for the sake of negotiation, I say take the Colorado 4th round pick off my plate. My mind set is, I pick 7 guys now before my traded pick. If one of these 7 guys cant fill a role by the time Burrows' contract expires, I am firing my scouts.

Although Burrows contract isn't that bad, I think TOR should be charging a premium for taking on these contracts, because if the cap doesn't go up or it goes down the majority of teams will be desperate to ship out contracts, look at the WAS trade with the Leafs, Toronto got a good prospect and a 2nd round pick for WAS to save 2.25m dollars for 1 year, I could see it though

Sens trade is brutal. Giving up a potential elite goalie in Demko for not even a elite Centre plus our best d man.

You have no sense of player values. Demko a "potential elite goalie", give me a break. I would argue Methot is just as good as Edler, only Edler has more offence and Methot is better defensively. Turris is way better then Granlund will ever be. And O'Connor was highly sought after 2 years ago coming out of college. Vancouver would win that deal handily.
