Doubt there is a team that offers him more than 6. He liked Edm and has a chance to win a cup there.

It was reported Edm is one of his top 5 places to sign. Leafs getting Murray probably gives Campbell less leverage to get that amount.

Calgary isn't going to trade Anderson for bits and pieces like that. If they were to trade him (which they wouldnt), they would want an equal prospect back or top 6 winger

Exactly, they are going to lose him in expansion draft if they don't trade him. Pouliot is an adequate replacement for this season. Nobody is going to give a first rounder for him when they know the Ducks have to trade him. They have to protect Lindholm, Vatanen, Manson and Fowler, plus Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler and Rakell. No way they can keep him

4 first round picks? Where are you getting your info? The compensation for $5,632,847 to $7,510,464 is a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd round pick. So if they were to offer sheet him at 7.5x7 years they would lose a 1st/2nd/3rd. Which I would absolutely give up for Lindholm

Your saying athe NJ Devils won't be able to take on a 4million dollar contract of a 32 year old 2nd line forward? You realize the Devils probably won't be a playoff team in 2 years and will most likely have cap room. With Markov likely gone by then I'm sure Montreal could figure out a way to add a top 4 dman to their team. Don't try and sound super smart and talk to me like I'm stupid. Yes I know other teams have salary caps.

I don't agree that Trouba has more upside. What makes you think that? That 4th overall is the real key here, it has very high value. So if Klefbom and Trouba have similar value your saying that the 4th overall and Kosmachuk have equal value which they don't. And it's not even close. Yes I am a huge Oilers fan but I still know the values of our players and other teams players.

You have no sense of player values. Demko a "potential elite goalie", give me a break. I would argue Methot is just as good as Edler, only Edler has more offence and Methot is better defensively. Turris is way better then Granlund will ever be. And O'Connor was highly sought after 2 years ago coming out of college. Vancouver would win that deal handily.

2018+ (Contender) - Thoughts?
Ok first off the trade, Oilers do not want Edler now or anytime in the future period as they have excellent depth for LH defensman. Your expecting to draft a defensman in the first round of the 2018 draft and step in 4 months later and be on your top pairing? Good luck with that. Even with this team, your nowhere near contenders. Playoffs maybe, but not cup contenders.

Nucks 2016-17
No chance in hell Edler gets you that high of first rounder. MAYBE a 26-30 pick. What do you mean Ottawa has a lack of depth? They have Methot and Phaneuf along with Chabot. Why would they even want Edler? In an expansion Ottawa would protect Karlsson, Methot, Ceci, and maybe Phaneuf. Also no way Hamhuis signs for that cheap, he could get 4.5-5.5 on the UFA market. Doubt Erikkson signs for under 6mil per.

rumor mill
Don't think I would do Pouliot for Depres, I would rather Manson + because he is RH. Also I'm iffy on Bogosian, decent player but his contract is pretty bad and that 4th could be a future #1 LW/C.
