Really like the Rasmus Andersson deal, the condition is realistic too.
Curious about Kadri deal though? Feel like Staal is probably a downgrade in the long run, with Kadri being on a good contract.

Thanks man. Yeah the thing with the Staal trade is this. You get a little bit of cap benefit because Leafs are so tight up against a little over a million really does help and the way I look at it is TOR perhaps loses on a bit of value in a Staal for Kadri swap but gain more value by a Aberg and Petan swap. I also think its important to note that Staal is a bonafide leader, potential hall of famer who has a lot of offensive production left and is defensivley solid and would do wonders in mentoring young players on his wings like Bracco and Moore

Valid reasoning man. I agree and really like Staal, just worry about his age and Babcock over using him like other veterans they have.

Duzsak had a dozen teams looking to sign him as an undrafted college pro, he hand picks the Leafs and than you're going say Dubas trades him half a year later? You need another prospect in that deal, Duzsak is 'untouchable' right now.

In all due respect, if Duszak is untouchable than Dubas should be fired immediatley... if a deal comes around where the Leafs can get their hands on a bonafide RHD that can be a big part of the blue line for years to come and Duszak is the decidng factor - he's gone... only other option prospects wise that would measure up for CGY to accept the deal would be Liljegren in my opinion who I think is much more untouchable than Duszak

He's untouchable for at least a season, I don't know if you notice but the Leafs have a good history of signing undrafted players (Russian, Swede or College) so if a trade is made involving a newer signed FA than the Leafs future of being able to find this undrafted players goes up in smoke, a bad dumb move.

p.s. Duzsak is a RHD. Just like the other 2 previous undrafted players signed; Zaitsev and Oz. Throw in Rosen and Bergman into that category too. Now add the 2 newly signed Euro FA's in Kivihalme and Mikheyev. I know for a fact if Duszak gets traded this summer that gravy train will stop as players of the undrafted FA's will gladly say "no thank you" to the Leafs in the future.

It's a business - if you are a part of a deal that brings in a much more significant player - tough... Filip Forsberg was traded a year into his tenure in WAS because they though at the time they were getting a better player... fans are coming up with Marner trades and you're worried about what Duszak thinks of management

Also bringing up Forsberg name is pointless in our argument, for he was Drafted by that team, Duzsak hand picked the Leafs to join, from at least half a dozen team offers. So I'd say Duzsak will be higher on the Leafs RHD depth chart than even Liljegren or Hollowell or Rasanen.
