Description
Really the only new moves are the Ghost Bear 3 way. Facilitated because Vigneault loves Kreider, probably will not like Ghost Bear given his history with similar style defensemen and Vegas needs D. Philly does not need D so the direct Ghost Bear to Vegas trade doesn't work as well.

Other new deals are the Eriksson deal and the Lemieux flip. If you think the Eriksson deal is off by a round or 2 lemme know.
And the Lemieux/Jones swap is a change of scenery type thing. Lemieux is frankly a more disciplined Jones who's had much more success scoring at the NHL level. His style of play works nicely in Anaheim. Jones is blocked by fellow kids like Terry, Sprong, Steel and Comtois from sticking in the lineup. I think a change of scenery helps both guys.

It definitely does show me that you personally don't want Neal Pionk. Have you made a convincing case for not objectively needing Neal Pionk? Not quite. And that's OK!

Brook is good though. Just a matter of if you want to compete next year or not. If you want to punt next year to a rebuild I don't think you need him at all.

AGM's for MTL can be a bit deceptive right now. The Habs realistically with the division they're in would only be a wild card team next year and I think the one move Bergevin will look at making is a move for a 1st or 2nd pairing LD which would help them compete with TB, BOS, and TOR as they all have deep forward cores who can score. I don't Brook will be great next year. I think that he'll be a guy that probably comes in mid-season and won't put up great offensive numbers but will be solid defensively which is something that you pointed out and I agree with is that Juulsen isn't very solid defensively. We're a good team that's bringing in a lot of prospects next year in Poehling, Suzuki, Romanov, Brook, and Primeau. Our goal isn't to compete in the playoffs. I think our goal has to be to get to the playoffs and give our young prospects some NHL experience. Give me until halfway through next year for me to tell you whether this would have been a good trade for MTL. I agree though Lekhonen will be moved though

Yeah you guys have one of the better forward prospect pools in the league. I guess I'm usually of the school that the goal is either to go far in the playoffs or get a high draft pick and the middle ground sucks. (No one wants to pick 14th forever). You're in pretty desperate need of some puck moving D though. If you can pull off a deal for a D guy like Severson, Ghost Bear, Colin Miller, etc, you'd be in better shape. I don't think a package headed by Lehkonen can really make that happen though.

The deal that has been on a lot of AGM's has been Ghost for Drouin. I have a feeling it might happen

depends how smart fletcher is. Would be a terrible deal for Philly...But GM's make bad deals like that all the time.

It would be and honestly I'd rather get Mike Matheson anyway, I don't like Ghosts defensive game
