I doubt Carolina says yes to the Pesce trade. There is probably fair value coming back for a young top 4 RHD, but his contract is so good that Carolina can't afford to move him. Literally any defenseman not named Slavin would move before Pesce. Kapanen/Johnsson+ for Faulk is likely more realistic, or even van Riemsdyk if you're looking for a RHD.

So what? That’s kind of the point. Pesce is awesome. He’s on an awesome contract for a long time. Why would they move him? Some team will have to overpay big time. He’s worth more than nylander.
