If you're throwing around $4M, I can't imagine Chiarot would be coming. But given that it's a month before the UFA season, I doubt the Habs have had any contact with Chiarot unless his rights are part of a bigger deal with WPG.

I got that, but there are lots of rumours out there, including Chiarot. Teams are already talking in advance of the trade ban being lifted. It's certainly possible that Chiarot's negotiation rights might be part of a discussion

Regardless, all I were really saying is $2.5M, he's a bargain. At $4M, he's a big ticket.
