Created by: BoredWildFan
Team: 2016-17 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 14, 2016
Published: Jun. 15, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
FLA Trade: MIN gets a 2C and a mid-round pick. FLA gets a top 4D and a good, young back-up G with playoff experience to replace Montoya.

PHI trade: This is basically Brodin for Schenn.
MIN gets a top 6 forward who can play C or wing, likes to shoot and doesn't mind dropping the gloves. PHI gets a young, top 4 D, who can play the right side and could pair well with Provorov.
Vanek goes to Philly as a one year fill-in on Giroux's left side. Schultz comes back to Minn for one year as a serviceable 6/7D. No salaries retained.

I like what you did but the wild wouldn't be very protected for the expansion draft. I'm thinking get some older rental players for the next season to protect ourselves. You can take a look at what I did and see what you think.

Defense is protected with only Folin and Olafson unprotected. Forwards, we lose one of Zucker, Granlund and Haula (IMO). Probably Zucker (again IMO). This roster could overcome losing Zucker. I'd rather have a younger team that competes next year than a roster of old 3rd/4th line guys just to protect somebody.

Ek is staying in Sweden this year.
I like the two players you acquired a lot and would love to see them both in Wild sweaters this winter!

I added Tuch and Ek just to see what the line-up looks like with them. I don't expect either of them to be there when the season starts.
