you get a RHD for a LHD of around the same caliber and cap hit... PLUS you get a great player with a lot of grit. MTL is loosing that trade.

In what world do you live in thinking that EK65 will sign for just 9 million, especially on a 6 year term? Why 6 years? Someone will easily offer him 10 AAV over 7 years. BTW, he'll definitely use the Doughty contract as his comparable and the cap will have gone up since Doughty signed so EK65 might actually get more than Doughty...

I never said he is a god, he is 26 years old and on an extremely good contract. He almost had 70 points 2 seasons ago and he is due for a bounceback year, he had his injuries. Petry is 31, older and has not had more than 50 points in a year. Shaw is a depth player, almost like a wiese, who we just do not need, and more cap we will have to take on. In no means is ghost a god, but he is a younger d-man who can and will get better, and I do not want the flyers giving up on him

Fair point about Ghost, but remember, one great season doesn't make a career.

Also, Shaw is way superior to weise! come on, the guy got 19 goals and 47pts in 63 games last season. -> that's a 60 pts projected full season.

I know, but we do not need shaw, we have possibly Ratcliffe, Farabee and Frost coming up, we do not need him blocking them.
