Why give away all of those assets to sign Duchene and Karlsson. They only need one.

Signing Karlsson fixes the Defence.

Signing Duchene and trading another forward for a D-man fixes the defence. All MTL needs to do is add a top pairing D.

Getting both just blocks the way for Suzuki and Poehling. It even prevents Kotkaniemi from being able to grow into a larger role.

Idk lmao. They might accept to getfree assets; because they won’t need the cap during their rebuilt. However, It could also be done with whoeverelse accept this deal in the league..

They could trade Drouin and Danault in the future (1-2y) if Suzuki and poelhing reach their potential. Moreover; That would give cap space to sign Domi.
