Not sure Karlsson would sign that deal, maybe at one year.

The part that intrigues me the most is Van Riemsdyk. Vegas would give up two thirds for a guy the traded along with a seventh for a second?

I hadn't considered the original trade, but even spelling it out like that, the deal makes sense. It's fairly common to see a team trade down from a 2nd to get 2 3rds. It's fair value for Van Riemsdyk, who will probably miss a bit of the season with shoulder surgery on a Carolina team loaded with good PMDs and Dmen prospects.

Devils sure wouldnt do that. two thirds for miller maybe but we have our goalies and Eakins on the down and our C depth is great.
