Even if he did agree to be traded...Ottawa has to be the least likely team in the entire NHL that would buy out any contract....let alone that albatros.

It’s a buyout that would allow them to reach the salary floor which is something we all know they struggle to do. It’s an unlikely scenario but not inconceivable.

If Bowman asks Seabs to waive his NMC because the Hawks are doing everything in their power to move him, it is not going to matter if he wants to retire a Hawk. He will not want to be in a place where he himself is not wanted. He’s from BC, trains in the off-season there, and lives there. That’s his true home
