I'm tired of saying this: Kapanen, Zaitsev and a second-round pick (or worse) is not enough to get us Brett Pesce, Dougie Hamilton or Jacob Slavin. It should, however, get us Cole De Haan. It's embarrassing for some of us when these trades keep appearing.

What's Arizona's reward for taking Marleau's $6.25M cap hit off our books?

I agree. Kapanen and a second along wont get us Hamilton. Adding Zaitsev on top of that will get us Pesce at best. Arizona is also not going to take on Marleau without a legit comback. Timashov, a second and Rosen might do the trick. I love Moore but no way he starts in the third line. Sorry.
