Do you think a buyout is the only option? Or could they try to trade him to a team like Ottawa?

Only option if they don't want to get rid of picks or prospects. I think it's just better to ride out his last two years

Well it's hard to say. Trade would be better for Ducks because it will hurt their cap hit just for two years however buyout for four. But I believe that there's some team that would want him, however in case of buyout he would be deffinetly cheaper for this team. It matters also on Perry, who may can end his carreer too. But IMO it's more probable the buyout.

I'm not caught up on his injury history but if he can bounce back it seems like he can still be a useful player. I'm sure there's a team out there that would take him with salary retained. I wouldn't mind having him on the Avs but I don't think they're looking to add 34yo players.

If the Ducks decide to trade him what do you think he's worth?

It would be probably a good prospect and 2nd or 3rd round pick IMO
