If Hayes was going to sign for under $7M, it probably woulda been done already. Flyers either give him north of $7M or he's testing free agency. & with how good of a contract Gostibehere is on, Philly should aim for more than Hoffman and a pick. If Hoffman walks after 1 year, the Flyers just screwed themselves long term in that deal. Maybe Hoffman with an extension is closer to fair value though

Yeah an extension would obviously have to be in play for that trade to happen. Meant to make a note of that. With Hayes, I don't see any contender offering him more than 6.5-7 so it will be up to him whether he wants to compete, or an extra Million a year.
