Cogliano's NTC might really negate a trade. Good for Johns if he ready to play again. But if he isn't Leaf fans are hoping for a Zaitsev trade

I don't hate it... just a few comments. I think the valuation for the UFA signings are a bit off (i.e. I think Zucc gets in the $6-7M range and I think Ennis would cost more than $1.25M), but it looks like the amount of cap room would cover those increases.

I would buy out Nichushkin, not sign Orpik, and use that extra money to add a top-4 D-man instead (i.e. Stralman or Gardiner) for added depth and also in case Johns can't go or takes some time getting back to "game speed."

I like the trades and think they are fair. Just remember that re-signing Zucc takes our 2020 first and turns it into a third.
