I think it comes down to Pavelski vs. Nyquist. Goose was actually a good acquisition at the trade deadline pushing into the playoff run.

Shortridge has one game in the AHL and the rest of his experience is in the NCAA - he's not going to be on the Sharks roster barring a miracle or some kind of Canucks like disaster.

Nyquist wont sign that cheaply? He wants either 6 x 5.5 or 6 x 6 you're still 2 players short and 0 cap space. So moves still need to be made.
