Puljujarvi has requested a trade. Sending Bennett is not only making the Oilers much better and ourselves less gritty, it's an over-payment. They'll be lucky to get a second-rounder in return.

Agreed...Calgarys 4th overall bust is still better than Oilers 4th overall bust!

Do not like the Puljujärvi trade for Calgary and don't think they send him to a division rival and risk him becoming the player he was drafted to be.

Stone for Reimer seems to work for both teams, but I think Calgary should push for some retention given the second year on Reimer's deal if they are giving up a late pick.

I don't think the NJD's take on Neal without first seeing him play some games next year and finding out if he's truly bad, or just had a bad season, but I do think the trade is an okay fit if they are pushing to try to be competitive in order to retain Hall. Plus there's the Shero connection there.

I also think signing Perry would be hilarious. It would be hard to go from hating his guts, but probably seeing him terrorize other teams' goalies instead of ours would win me over. He probably costs about what Ryan is making though.

The Minny deal favours Calgary, but rumours have their GM seemingly desperate to get rid of Zucker.

Phaneuf as the 6/7 at that price point would be worth looking at if the beef that seen him sent out of town years ago had nothing to do with Gio or Conroy and was sole with Iginla. I don't see him back here though, they would probably just keep Fantenberg for $1M given how much they played him at the end of last year.
