Description
With the salary cap projected to be much lower than most assumed the value of getting rid of this contract for Tampa cannot be understated. But do Tampa fans think theyre giving up too much in this trade? Does his NMC allow for a move to montreal?

Not a Tampa fan (Rangers), but I think they have to consider it. I'm sure they dont want to give up too much since it's only one year but as you poi t out, if they were thinking they' might have to do it before the likelihood has to have increased now

Giving up a 1st rounder in a deep draft like this year's it's a no go for me, even if we'd get a mid 2nd rounder back. Definitely not for dumping Callahan, that eventually could be bought out.

A first could be steep but i think a buyout is unlikely since they will continue to have cap issues past this year and still have to sign Point, it could be a second and a prospect or a second and a RFA they cant afford
