Description

I wanted to see if Pavelski would fit but he'll be much too expensive once he hits the market.

Good opportunity to add an experienced RW with a chip on his shoulder to a short term contract with production bonus'.

Also allows the good young players like Frost etc a chance to play in the AHL so they aren't rushed.

Montreal fans might not but Bergevin just might. Anyway, the primary intent is just getting Hagg off the roster and not about actually putting together a trade that makes everyone happy.

Probably a bit low for Laughton, theres still room to pay a bit more.

As far as Simmonds goes I'd be fine with him returning at that price too but he will be getting offers that won't be matchable. Perry might as well but due to missing so much time last season he can get performance bonus' on his contract which would keep the initial hit down. No other player under 35 that I know of has that option and could make him a good fit cap-wise.
