Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1. Bowers, Kamenev, Kaut, O'Connor, Byram, and Timmins battle it out in camp for spots. I didn't put all of them on the roster due to the cap
2. I know what you're thinking, GREAT another Panarin signing. This would be out in place guaranteeing him an NTC
3. If there are any performance bonuses we could possibly give mack, do it. I feel bad even tho his contract is gold.
4. The reason why I wouldn't trade Barrie is because there's no guarantee Byram will be ready next year and there's no guarantee Timmins will be ready. The grass isn't always greener and Barrie knows this team
5. I don't even know how I feel about the Kerfoot trade. I love him but his career is plagued by his lack of confidence with the puck. Should he stay, no one is his biggest fan, but in this version of the avalanche, we need more cap space. Ho-Sang because he isn't the right fit for the Isles. Give him a one year with decent AAV, have him prove himself, whether that be in the AHL or NHL.
6. Without the extras I tacked on at forward the cap would be $2.231 Mill away from ceiling
7. Bruh...we might HAVE to trade Barrie if we gon make that Free Agent Frenzy splash...idk

If Kaut gets NHL time this year I doubt it's on the 2nd line. Too much $ and term for Z and not enough $ for Kerfoot. I personally like Kerfoot. He has put up back to back 40 point seasons, only issue is he doesn't shoot enough. Probably going to have to pay more for Panarin if they want to pry him from Florida, even then it's unlikely. I like the idea of trading Barrie, but it's not the only way they make a splash this offseason. Just too much value there for Barrie to not trade him and bring a top 6 forward in. Looks like there is a decent chance at Nyquist or Zuccarello.

We have the top scoring line in hockey, arguably the best defensive corp in the league now after that Carolina trade, and then you're adding Panarin.

Haha even if we don't add Artemi, you throw in Nyquist or a guy through a Barrie trade, and all of a sudden you have a second line. Our defense won't suffer either. And if we're talking salary cap, have you looked at Vegas' hit in the last hour or so?

It'll have to be a Subban type of deal though for futures. They can't be giving away 1st rounders in their state. This is what happens when you don't have any ELCs on your team
