Vegas does not have cap space to take on Zaitsev contract. They need Clarkson to go on LTIR, just to make cap.

Vegas trade makes no sense. They need cap space and can put Clarkson on LTIR, problem solved.

For Brown, I think you just get a pick back, there are lots of good players in the Marlies that can play 3rd or 4th line in his place at under $1m.

Moving Sparks out and bringing Curtis back makes sense, but you have to give him over $1m after his year last year. He deserves it.

Marner - still think that is to much. I like what Pierre Lebrun said and the sweet spot is likely 6 years at $10m. He said it is still more then the Leafs want to pay but both sides could likely live with it.
