Description

They'd prefer to sign someone to play the 2C, but the UFA market for top 6 centers is limited. Zuc provides speedy top 6 scoring and playmaking and could add life to the power play. Canes win him over with pitch to put him on top line with Aho to start the season, moving Turbo down to create second scoring line with Svech and Staal.

Do you think Necas will be up full time next year to play in the 3C spot, with Wallmark moving down to 4C?

I can see Necas playing the wing to start ( maybe try him at center here and there) and then see where hes at. I can see him getting sent down for another season.

Agreed. Tricky thing for Canes is that they really need a 2C but I don't think Necas is ready for that (needs to add 15lbs of muscle). And Necas is definitely not a 4th line guy. Ideally, he's playing on a scoring line. I don't think he would make sense with Jordan because he's logging heavy minutes against the best players. So that leaves 2 remaining lines. Could he handle wing with Aho-Nino? Maybe but seems doubtful. Most likely would be on the wing of Wallmark with Teuvo or Svech.

All that is to say, I think there's a thin opening for him, but I'm guessing he spends more time in Charlotte with some chances to audition in Raleigh.
