One yr of Shultz, and Jarry, Rust (meh) and a first doesn’t get you a Trocheck let alone adding Hoffman.

I'm sure subconsciously that's where part of this came from since most of my work day is spent looking over teams on here, but I don't remember seeing them from you. I would be thrilled if something like this happened though. The defense still scares me, but it would at least be entertaining hockey to watch.

Hoffman doesnt have as much value as you think. Check his trade history and FLA already wants him gone too. If you dont believe drama can light a fire under a decent player then just check out Dennis Wideman.

There has been no drama with Hoffman and he was highly sought after at the deadline. But back to the point and that being Trocheck is worth more than a year of Shultz/Jarry, Rust and and 1st.

So sought after at the deadline that FLA only got him for a few mid round picks. He wasnt in all those trade rumours because teams wanted him, he was in them cause ottawa wanted him gone and now FLA does too. He's obviously not a good locker room presence. No drama?obviously you didnt hear about the whole situation with him and erik karlsson which ended with them both leaving.

What are you talking about? I’m talking about this year’s trade deadline not last off season. As for the drama, since he’s been a Panthers there has been no drama. Panthers are only willing to move him to get a top Defenseman or if they need more cap room for other moves they are trying to make.

More cap room to acquire a top player? Hoffman can score at least 70 points on a solid deal. They would likely have to pay more than what theyre paying for hoffman to get someone just a little better or someone who's basically the same. Seems redundant to me personally
