Description

predicting how the Habs could use their newfound 4.5M. Even before signing Panik, these Habs had around 8.1M. I dove into this hoping to offer sheet Aho at 9.5Mx5. So I'd need to free up 1.5M AND find a replacement for that player. In this scenario, I could see Armia's rights being moved for a contracted player at less than 1.5M, which would surely be a trade necessitating a pick to be thrown in as well. Another option is moving Drouin, as Domi would shift to wing with a centre coming in like that. But again, moving a 1st 2nd and 3rd is tough...that first could become a Caufield or a Pacioretty, the second a Lehky, Romanov or Subban...Aho's great but do you just trust the system, considering you'd have to move other pieces around to fit under the ceiling?
And there's also the question...is Sekera good enough to stop gap for a year? Gimme your thoughts!
