Good luck getting Marner at 9.5 he knows the leafs have the cap and he wants just as much as Auston if not more

I disagree. The market has been set with the Aho contract and while I don't think he takes 9.5x6, I could see 9x3 or 9.5x5. Darren Ferris, Marner's agent has a long history of doing similar standoffs with RFA's, who all end up settling in the fall to make sure they don't miss any games. I don't think it gets done soon, but it gets done. Marner really has no leverage anymore with Aho signing, and presumably no 13m offer sheets coming in like Paul Marner was saying. With Point likely getting around 9, Tkachuk getting 8-9, and Rantanen around 9, Marner can't justifiably ask for 11.
