Not sure why people think a Top 4, borderline Top 2, good skating, puck moving defensemen who will net you 40+ points isn't worth that... people undervaluing Leddy left and right on this site, smh.

As for the OP, I like the moves here, only thing I'd do differently is not make the trade with Vegas, and use Bellows, instead of Beau, in the WPG trade. Beau has shown flashes and not ready to give up on him yet.

I'm ridiculously high on Gusev. His numbers are better than Panarin's were in the KHL. He won't be treated like a Jan Kovar of the world. Kid is legit. I used Bellows for VGK because he was teammates with Cody Glass in Portland. They had a lot of chemistry and should Bellows crack Vegas' lineup he's a cheap alternative

I'm not saying Gusev isn't a good player, but Kovar was a PPG guy in the KHL as well and we saw how that turned out. I also don't see Bailey being regulated to 3rd line minutes for him, Trotz likes Bailey (it was between him and Lee for the "C") and only used him on the 3rd line last year when he was mixing up the lines to try and find some scoring. This team is 1 good Top 6 forward away from being really good... if you bring in someone like Connor, you let the young guys play on the 3rd line and try to get your additional scoring that way.
