Unpopular moves

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not sure if NTC's etc work out, but I haven't seen these proposed yet, so roast away.
Krug's skill and experience will command a salary bump as a UFA and draw much interest from teams looking to score a puck moving d man in free agency. With DeBrusk and others needing new contracts in 2020-21 and the looming expansion draft, the decision to move Krug while his stock is high is made. It's a tough pill, but Grizz proved ready for more responsibility and minutes. McAvoy becomes highest payed Bruin. Top 6 shores up with the versatile Zucker. Mojo takes a bit less than market value to remain "comfortable" in Boston and the log jam for defensive prospects on the left side open up a bit. Bottom pair left side filled by Zboril, Lauzon, or whoever does well in camp. Vaak gets more minutes developing in AHL vs bottom pair NHL. Some cap left for minor moves at trade deadline.

1st rounder cancels out Backes. Zucker and two late picks for a 50 point defenseman and 40 point forward is not fair. Heinen+ a little more could get you Zucker. Don’t trade your players for nothing lol

No snark, honestly looking for your opinion: In the trade with Minny, keep the first? Do Heinen's rights and Krug land Zucker even with the Backes dump? What assets are a fair return for Krug with 1 yr left?

I'm not sure if it does... Maybe Fenton would bite.

I mean, I'd say just don't do it. Wait until next off season and move backes when it costs much less. I just see absolutely no benefit to any sort of move with this kind of structure.

Fair enough. I was coming from a perspective of shedding cap to get McAvoy on an 8 year deal and decent term for Carlo, while keeping the Mojo Coyle band together. Likely not moves Sweeney would make, and thus why none of us ACGMs get paid to do these. Thx for your input.
