I’m a Habs fan and I would honestly feel bad for Bruins fans if that trade went through. The only way the Bruins give up Krug is if you overwhelm them. For example, Guentzel, Dumoulin and a first.

I do think this trade is a little low value wise, maybe another 3rd on top. But that would only be the case if Boston needed a decent 3c option, but they have a solid 3C so.... Yeah this trade never gets it done. But straight up value without organisational issues I dont think its that much out.

dude Guentzel alone is worth more than Krug 40 goal scorer on a 6m contract for 5 more years? One of the best bargain contracts in the NHL. Boston would have to add to the trade to get Guentzel not the other way around...

Wait... You think the Gudbranson contract is worse than the JJ one... Gudbranson is actually a serviceable NHL defenseman, and he looked fantastic with the pens at the end of last year, and he only makes 750k more than JJ, and his contract is only 2 seasons vs JJ's 4, and yes he is slightly overpaid, if he plays the way he did with PIT last year next year, and if he would go to FA after that he'd probably get 3.5, vs Johnson who's barely an NHL d man and makes 750k less, when he should be making like 700k
