Hoping someone can explain this to me. Let's say a player was on LTIR last season, and he is expected to be on LTIR this coming season as well. I know the team can exceed the cap by 10% during the off-season to compensate. What happens when the season starts? Does the team continue to get the 10% cushion? Is the 10% removed and the team must now be cap compliant to put the player on LTIR?

i believe what happens on LTIR is if you put a player on it, the cap will increase by his cap hit, dont know if this helps but thats all i know lol
