Description

The left wing is completely wide open. Nygard could be a 2nd liner, or he could be in the AHL. Tyler Benson has a serious shot at making the team. He will play meaningful minutes when he is called up. But, I have him out of the picture for now.

Brodziak, Haas, Marody, and Cave will be battling for the 3c and 4c positions. Ultimately, I believe Marody will be first line AHL until he is called up to replace an NHL injury.

I don't believe the Oilers will be signing any more free agents unless its another 1 year deal. They are better off saving their money for one more year. The team is a little bit better than last year. But it's a stretch to think they are a playoff team.

Let me know what you think? What can this roster do? Where do you see players fitting? Who will have a good year and who will have a bad one?

If there is any way that Edmonton can move (swap) Lucic and Eriksson (Vcr) while moving out a prospect not interested in playing there (Puhlujarvi) and picking up a roster player or two (Virtanen or a D prospect)..... Frees up 6 mill cap hit a year earlier. Gets something back for the whiney guy and improves the roster at 3rd line or better a lot faster. To Be Honest....KAssian as a first line player is- interesting at least

Yeah obviously we want to get rid of Lucic and Puljujarvi but that's not what I'm getting at here. Where do these players fit in the lineup if no roster changes are made?

Maybe. It is a roster move that would make big financial sense for the Canucks (Sell a lot of Lucic jerseys in his home town). Although I believe the stumbling block would be getting Eriksson to agree to move to Edmonton. Now that his family all lives in Dallas LOL
